We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer with deep SQL expertise to support critical data modeling, optimization, and transformation efforts. Location: Porto (hybrid - 2x to 3x/week - they are flexible)

Salary: up to €50k/year
 

What You’ll Do

  • Own the modeling and structuring of complex datasets to support analytics, performance reporting, and business insights

  • Optimize SQL queries to improve performance across multiple systems and use cases

  • Build and manage scalable ETL pipelines to ensure data quality and consistency

  • Collaborate with analysts, data consumers, and technical teams to support data hierarchy and warehouse structure

  • Manage and maintain data infrastructure across AWSMySQL, and modern cloud data environments

  • Support the integration of advertising and performance data across platforms

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to query performance and data integrity

  • Define and maintain data quality standards and monitoring systems

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in data engineering with advanced SQL and Transact-SQL knowledge

  • Experience working in AWS environments and with MySQL databases

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or willingness to learn

  • Strong understanding of ETL development and data transformation best practices

  • Knowledge of data lake and data warehouse architecture

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

  • Structured thinking and attention to detail, with a passion for data quality

  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate technical concepts
