Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Ruby on Rails to join a product-driven technology team on a mission to connect people who need tasks done with those who have the skills to complete them. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of impactful technical initiatives, contribute to scalable architecture, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, empowering environment.


Location: Remote (preferably based in Lisbon for occasional meetups)
Salary: €60k - €80k/year 
 

What You’ll Do

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for technical projects, from planning through delivery.

  • Collaborate with Product, Data, and Design teams on high-impact business initiatives.

  • Design and implement scalable, cloud-based solutions with a focus on performance.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers, supporting their growth.

  • Contribute to hiring efforts and help build a high-performing team.

  • Promote clean code practices, developer-led quality assurance, and automated testing.

  • Advocate for exceptional UI/UX, ensuring a seamless user experience.

  • Participate in technical strategy discussions, aligning engineering decisions with business goals.


 

 What We’re Looking For

  • Deep expertise in Ruby on Rails with exposure to various other frameworks and languages.

  • A passion for mentoring, learning, and sharing new technologies with your team.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong experience with scalable cloud infrastructure and architectural design.

  • Background in computer science fundamentals and modern design patterns.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

  • A strong product sense with the ability to understand business needs and user goals.

  • A commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
