Affidea is a leading pan-European provider of diagnostic imaging, outpatient and specialty care services, operating in 391 centers across 15 countries. Known for innovation and clinical excellence, Affidea is on a mission to improve healthcare access and outcomes across Europe.


Problem

Affidea was implementing multiple SAP modules across several European countries.

At first it was an external consulting team that handled everything from implementation to maintenance. However, as the project was growing, this approach became unsustainable.

The external teams were overloaded and Affidea lacked internal capability to maintain and improve the SAP environment long-term.


Solution


Our collaboration with Affidea started with a clear goal: building a strong internal SAP Center of Excellence team. The process began with the hire of a Team Lead, a key role that would shape the rest of the group, followed by two additional hires as new needs emerged.

Here’s the process we followed:

  1. Step #1: We led an initial briefing with Affidea to understand the team setup, challenges and goals. The first step was the Team Lead role, for which we sourced the best profiles. One candidate was hired and another strong candidate was noted for future opportunities.
  2. Step #2: The second hire was for a more niche profile: a Lease Accountant (RE-FX). It required a targeted search strategy and the frequent alignment with the client was crucial. We initially made an offer that was declined by the candidate, slightly extending the process.
  3. Step #3: During this phase, Affidea opened a new position and decided to move forward with the earlier candidate kept on the radar. This flexibility led to an unexpected hire while we continued the process for the specialized role, which was closed shortly after.
  4. Step #4: All three professionals were hired through our payroll solution, ensuring speed, compliance and flexibility across all placements.



Result

The internal SAP Center of Excellence is now active and growing and the candidates were successfully hired and onboarded.
